We are imitating Warren Pohatu's work to get good at pastelling techniques.
Later we will use these techniques to make our own picture.

Fridge Magnet "Poetry"

Over the holidays I bought a set of poetry fridge magnets which I placed on the whiteboard at the front of the class.  I have been thoroughly impressed with the way the students of Room 20 have taken to making up sentences using the words available.
Here is  what was left on the whiteboard yesterday - some are simple,  some are funny, some are poetic!  Well done guys!

Planting trees for Matariki

On June 12th Bailey Road School celebrated Matariki (Maori New Year) by planting native trees in our newly developing Nature Trail.  Three children were selected from each class to plant trees for each class.

Room 20 have been learning the painting techniques of:
